Natasha will miss her virtual catch up with her sisters each day but she knows that she can call them or see them in the flesh any time she wants! Yay for sisters!

Stacey received a demand today....

Jacob made a monument to our blog and demanded we put it on before the last day.

1 day left and Holly is feeling a little overwhelmed by it all. I will miss this blog - strangely enough considering how pathetic I was at keeping up to date! Thank you to my gorgeous Popsicles for being such a willing model!!! My how you have grown in the past year - from 1 til nearly 3.

As Tasha said, Stacey hates doing self portraits.
But I really like this photo of myself...so I'll just pretend I took this myself.

The reason why I, Holly, do not like taking self-portraits is because I never know what face to pull or how close I am actually taking the photo. With this being the last one, I am happy to oblige for my darling sisters. Natasha, you're a pro. Stacey, you cheated!

Mr Attorney is all ready for our "date night" tomorrow night!

I love that freshly ironed shirt and spotty tie-very handsome indeed!

Stacey and Lucas went to the library today.

We had a wonderful time, reading our books and sharing morning tea.

Here is our book selection.

Holly's Jazz and Popsicles had a date today with Peter Pan and Tinkerbell! Jazz is exhausted from starting school and Popsicles is happy to oblige her brother's need for relaxation. Bliss!

When Natasha and her family went to Malaysia they visited a Batik stall and witnessed the amazing artistry of Batik makers. How talented these artists must be to be able to draw these beautiful patterns and shapes freehand.

Stacey thinks this Batik doily thing-a-majigidy that Tasha brought back from overseas sits prettily on her desk. The colours are wonderful...especially the shades of blue, of course.

Holly loves this pretty shot that she took whilst visiting a friend's place recently. I wish my garden looked like this!!!

Day 357

Big Al is a member of the string ensemble at his school and he plays a double bass that is as tall as he is! It is hard work to get him to practise but when he does it sounds wonderful!

Stacey thinks Jacob is a natural artist...but it still takes practise.

That's why it's great that Jacob is really starting to enjoy art classes at school.

Master J wants to be a super fast runner so he practises whenever he goes outside.
You can do it, sweetie!!!

Day 356

There is always a candle burning in Natasha's kitchen. Her favourite one at the moment is this one from Village Candles, Pumpkin Chestnut. It smells just like Winter!

Stacey's favourite smell in the kitchen is freshly baked chocolate cakes.

Mind you...anything freshly baked smells good.

Holly definitely prefers savoury flavours to sweet. I LOVE lemons - when you grate the zest it is just one of the most delightful scents in the world. It makes my mouth water, my nose itch and my eyes mist just typing about it. Anyone for lemon pesto? Just give me a minute...

Stacey loves Jacob's new hat. He had his first training session of the year for rugby league this morning and each of the kids got their training shirts, polo shirts and hats.

This is the most delicious looking "pot plant" Natasha has ever seen!

Stacey couldn't believe her eyes this morning...Jacob was dusting in his room.

Way too early in the morning for shocks like that.

The question is WHY, what is he up to???

Holly can't believe her eyes - my husband's sister's husband Simon (my brother in-law) and I have the same taste in sunglasses, the same taste in music, the same taste of reading and the same taste buds when it comes to food. Very funny that two siblings chose such similar partners.

Maddy spotted this possum eating our plants last night. It has a rather large belly so we think it might be a mummy possum. She was very cheeky but very cute!

This little lamb was too quick for Holly. Not only that, but it was too cute for my husband John. This photo was taken a year ago and John hasn't eaten lamb since meeting this cute little guy.

Natasha has been busy redecorating her house. Her latest vignette is for Mr Attorney's dresser.
I am sure it won't stay this neat for long but it's nice while it lasts!

Mmmm...White choc, cherry, coconut muffins.
Stacey loves to bake with ingredients she finds in her cupboard.

Wade had bought some Glace cherries 2 months ago which she finally found a use for;these muffins are heavenly!!

No-one in Holly's family would allow her to use the photos she created using Photo Booth on her new Mac....I wonder why...

How times have changed!

It's hard to believe that 4 year olds are playing computer games...supervised of course!

How times have changed! From dressing in warm clothes and sitting above the heater to hot, hot, hot Brisbane and the kids wearing next to nothing. Hard to believe!!!

Natasha and Maddy have been cooking up a storm this week. Anyone for an oreo cupcake?

Stacey and Wade made a special birthday cake for Big Al this week. We hope he likes rich and moist chocolate mud cake with chocolate butter-cream frosting!!

This week is hot and muggy so of course, it's time for ice-cream!

Big Al is having a great week celebrating his 11th Birthday. He had a great time at our favourite Indian restaurant because his family were there to help him celebrate.

Day 337

Natasha did a double-take when she saw these mini "hamburgers" at a cake store in Singapore. They are certainly the sweetest and yummiest "burgers" she has ever seen!

Stacey and Wade had a double pass to an outdoor concert on the weekend. It was excellent!

Sitting back in our comfy deck chairs listening to our favourite bands - INXS, Train and Baby Animals.

Holly is so tired at the moment that she feels like it would be easier if there was 2 of her. Any suggestions as to how this could be achieved? Arghhhh!!!!!!!!!

Shopping is hard work, especially when you are shopping in Singapore! After a busy morning on Orchard Road, Natasha and her family enjoyed a quick cuppa before they hit the shops again.

Stacey is not really into nik naks...but her Mum gave her this little plate thingy to put your tea bags on.

Mr Attorney is still fascinated by the story of the Madoffs.

Great title for a book about them don't you think!

Stacey is very happy that Jacob is now starting to enjoy reading.

His favourite books are Zac Powers and Scooby-Doo.

Holly loves summer reading - especially summer romances like novels from Katie Fforde. As an English teacher it is nice to read something where I don't have to think, analyse and critique. Woohoo!

After a busy day at Universal studios in Singapore the last point of call was the Hershey's store. We loved the free samples and can't wait to eat a few of the yummy chocolates when we get back to our hotel.

Wade is doing some last minute covering of books for Jacob's first day back at school.

Natasha and her family had a great time at the Singapore Zoo. Some animals were cute and some were downright scary, like these Malayan water monitors that roam freely around the grounds! Yikes!

Natasha has found a new place to love....Movenpick's Marche restaurant in Singapore. Just looks at these delicious brownies!

Thank you Mr Attorney for treating us to a family holiday in Singapore! Even though the flight was long and we are very tired it is wonderful to be here. How fabulous that the Christmas tree was still up in the lobby too. They must have known how much Natasha loves Christmas!

Stacey's family spent the day at Currumbin Sanctuary. It was a very tiring day, but lots of fun.

Thanks, Tasha, for the tickets, we had a wonderful time.

Popsicles was a little tired this evening. She and Jazz spent the day with Aunty Natasha, Maddy and Big Al. Thank you Natasha for looking after my munchkins today! They had a wonderful time.

Day 323

Natasha loved the gorgeous flowers and gardens in Singapore. She especially loved the flowers on the Ginger Plants.

Stacey loves the flower from the Strelizia plant which is also known as the "Bird of Paradise" flower.

Holly loves the pretty pink flowers on the Cherry Blossom tree. It always reminds her of the time she spent in Japan.

Natasha and her kids are getting ready to go back to school for another year. Books have to be covered, uniforms have to be pressed and everything has to be labelled. This is going to take a while....

Wade is working on the front of the house again and it's nearly finished.

Holly is trying very hard to resist the lure of this delicious chocolate cake that Stacey made.

Natasha and her family were sad to have to say "good-bye" to Hong Hong Kong. We hope we will be back again soon as we loved every minute of our time there.

Natasha and her family LOVE ice cream so when we found our favourite ice cream store in Hong Kong we were very happy indeed! What a great treat.

Stacey loves to have homemade goat mince hamburgers compliments of Wade.

They taste even better with a fried egg, bacon and cheese.

What a treat....I'll eat healthy tomorrow.

When Holly and her family went to the Barossa Valley, a trip to Maggie Beer's Farm Shop was in order. Whilst there, John cooked up a treat in the kitchen where The Chef and the Cook was filmed. I just love peppered hotplates. Ever so delicious!

Many tourists in Hong Kong visit the Jumbo floating restaurant in Aberdeen Harbour so we thought we should too! It is definitely a tourist spot so the food was a bit bland but we had a fabulous evening and enjoyed seeing the harbour all lit up at night.

Day 318

Natasha and Darren went to Hong Kong for their honeymoon and were thrilled to return there with their kids for their Anniversary 17 years later....still very much in love and very happy after all these years!

Stacey and Wade have been very lucky where they live...no flooding. It's kind of strange to be OK here and know that 15 minutes drive away there are peoples houses under water. Wade even went to help fill up bags with sand the other night. Stacey is very proud of her husband.

One of the first things Holly did after she and her family arrived from the UK was go to the beach. It was a magical day that John and I remember with fondness as the sky was blue, ocean clear and sand soft. I know it's getting repetitive but even with the devastating floods that have ravaged our beautiful state, we are still happy to be home.

Mr Attorney loves Chinese food and his favourite dish is Peking Duck. We tried Peking Duck in quite a few restaurants while we were in Hong Kong but the best one was served in an amazing restaurant called Lei Garden on Hong Kong Island. It was absolutely delicious!

Wade's Mum makes the best Boiled Plum Pudding for Christmas. We think it should be the main meal on Christmas day and the ham and trimmings for desert.

Tastes best heated up and served with jelly, ice-cream and tin fruit....YUM!!

This cake was for John's birthday. My sister-in-law made it and called it 'Death by Chocolate'. Yummy!!!

Big Al loved eating the delicious Chinese food in Hong Kong but when he found a restaurant that served good old fashioned apple pie he was thrilled!

Hong Kong is truly an amazing place and Natasha and her family loved every minute of their time there. They especially loved visiting the Giant Buddha and Po Lin Monastery on the Ngong Ping plateau amid the spectacular mountain scenery of Lantau Island. What an amazing sight to behold.

Maddy has always been a fan of "Hello Kitty" and she loved the Christmas display at The Langham Place in Mongkok, Hong Kong. It was devoted to Kitty's London adventures and it was gorgeous!

Natasha and her family had an action-packed holiday in Hong Kong! They had such a fun time at Ocean Park in Aberdeen. We saw pandas, went on lots of rides and saw the most amazing views of the harbour from a cable car. This was a brilliant place!

The Disneyland in Hong Kong is the smallest of the Disney resorts but that doesn't mean that it's boring! Big Al's favourite Disney attraction is Autopia so he was a very happy boy when he went for a spin in this yellow car with Mr Attorney!

Stacey doesn't have anything yellow around her house...so she called in the services of Jacob.

He made her this Lego bumble bee.

Holly has never seen Australia look so green with this many flowers! This pale yellow one really made me stop and look when we visited Dubbo.

Even though the Hong Kong harbour was a hive of activity all day and night, Natasha found it relaxing and calming to watch all the ships float by.

Jacob and Lucas like to relax with their colouring in and drawing.

Natasha is a little bit sad as she has packed away the Christmas tree, taken down the decorations and her house is back to normal again. Oh well, only 358 days until Christmas 2011!

It's the start of the New Year and Stacey's family is cleaning out the old stuff. We are hoping to donate some of our old sheets and blankets to the flood victims in North Queensland.

Australia is facing one of the wettest summer's on record. Storm after storm has left much of the country flooded - including our yard! Yep, let the clean up begin!

Natasha and her family had a quiet night at home for New Year's Eve, 2010/11. They feasted on delicious fresh prawns and a nice cold salad. What a fun night!

Stacey spent her New Year's Eve the usual way...with the boys.

I remember the days when I would actually see midnight.

Holly spent New Year's Eve at her house with friends. The kids saw some fireworks that were on at 7.30pm and then fell asleep whilst Mummy and Papa played board games with Kristin and Jamie. A lovely way to greet 2011.

Natasha and her family loved visiting Disneyland when they went to Hong Kong last month. Most things were the same as all of the other Disney resorts we have visited apart from a few cultural differences....

No, I did not try the squid!

Stacey has these two photos of Jacob on her notice board. The blue border photo is from 2009 and the green is from 2010. I can see the subtle changes in him...he's not a little boy anymore.

This year has been HUGE for my family and I. There have been a lot of changes!!! After a year in the UK eating some of the best sausages and cheeses but working at one of the most challenging schools, the physical changes are evident. Greyer hair (note the hat) and rounder faces (and bottoms). Oh dear! What a year!!!

Natasha really was a very lucky lady this year. Not only did she find a new coffee maker under the Christmas tree, she also found these lovely French goodies! Oh, how I love Christmas!

Stacey received this wonderful BLUE handbag from Holly. John was not very happy that Holly found it right at the beginning of their year overseas. Luckily she talked him into it. Thank you...I LOVE the colour!

Holly's favourite present was also a handbag - a big, brown, leather one from John. He bought it whilst my lovely friend Janet and I were saying our goodbyes. Cheeky thing. I couldn't see the package through all the tears!!!

The rain is relentless, Queenslanders are drenched and the flood waters are rising but at least Natasha's garden is getting a good soaking!

At the end of a long and busy day Natasha loves dimming the lights, lighting lots of candles and putting her feet up...Good times for sure!

Stacey thinks Jacob looks so cute with his missing tooth. It is the second time Jacob has gone to bed and five minutes later walked out with a tooth in his hand. We'll have to work on his timing.

Natasha loves taking photos of the beautiful beaches in Australia but she hates the humidity that comes with the heat. Sticky, yucky, ew!

Natasha and her family love looking at the Brisbane CBD all lit up for Christmas. The city tree is beautiful this year and it is the world's largest solar powered Christmas tree, featuring a solar powered lighting system with 16,000 bulbs!

Today Maddy is learning how to knit the 21st century way!

I had no idea about how to cast on or off so we went straight to google for advice; where would we be if we didn't have the World Wide Web!?

Today Jacob learnt about Veterinarians. One of his classmates asked their Dad to come and tell them about his job and how to look after animals.

Today I learnt that no matter how hard I try, I can't stop my little darlings from growing up too quickly. This photo was taken in March 2009. Miss P still sneaks into her brother's bed when no-one's looking! A precious memory.

It's nice to know that we can buy some nice American wines over here in Australia. I loved this Californian red that I served at our Thanksgiving dinner. It was delicious with the turkey, stuffing balls and mashed potatoes!

Sometimes Stacey loves the envelopes as much as the cards inside. Even though I might not feel it sometimes (when I am wearing "daggy" clothes or when I'm cleaning the house), it's nice to know someone thinks I'm beautiful.

It's nice to know that McLaren Vale is still as gorgeous as ever - the wines, the scenery, the atmosphere. It feels so good to be back in Australia!!! Coriole Winery would have to be one of the best.

The Brisbane River looks so beautiful at sunset.

Stacey had to use an old photo from our trip to Sydney.

With the kids at this age we don't have too many evenings out.

The weather in Hong Kong is steamy this evening. Holly, her family and the in-laws are enjoying an evening out at the markets (again) for food, shopping and the atmosphere. I am having a wonderful time and WISH that I had an empty suitcase so that I could fill it with all the goodies that I keep finding. Natasha loves walking around her neighbourhood. There are lots of beautiful things and places to photograph and at this time of year there are lots of beautiful plants to smell!

Day 272

Big Al and Mr Attorney went to the cricket (no they didn't run into Wade!) and he found this great hat which he now can't seem to take off his head! Boys and their cricket!!!

Wade dressed the part of a devoted Australian cricket follower.

He spent the day at the cricket watching Australia vs England.

Holly went to see the Tian Tan Buddha whilst in Hong Kong. For obvious reasons, there were some lovely Buddhist Monks there to pray. I was particularly fond of a very kind and friendly monk who wore sunglasses so that he could 'fit in' amongst the tourists. Gorgeous.

Day 271

Natasha and her family are having Indian for dinner tonight;

YUM!

Stacey and Wade went out for Indian tonight too. Can you believe who was at the same restaurant? So much for a romantic night out to celebrate their Wedding Anniversary!

Holly was sorry that she couldn't be there to join in the fun at Sitar, Albion. Instead of Indian, I had a Chinese banquet with my family and in-laws. We shared an absolute favourite - Peking Duck. Yummy! Happy Anniversary Stacey and Wade. X

Look at this yummy box of treats that Natasha's family received from Mr Attorney's Mother. What a wonderful and delicious surprise. Thank you!

Stacey and Wade had a wonderful surprise this week. Jacob received a Diligence Award and a perfect report card. We took Jacob and Lucas for a treat to celebrate. Thumbs up Jacob!!

Holly's Master J found it difficult to say goodbye to his English Aunty Lisa, Uncle Simon and two cousins. So, it was a wonderful surprise for him to see that his Uncle Adam (John's brother) and Aunty Melissa had flown from Australia to spend the week with us in Hong Kong.

This self-portrait picture is a bit fuzzy but it always makes me smile!

Stacey is loving her new kindle. It made her chuckle when she saw the screen savers. Famous authors, paintings and pictures and names of famous poisonous sea creatures...very informative.

Holly loves travelling, especially when it is to somewhere new. She is now in Hong Kong for a week long stop over before she heads home. The smells, people, prices and food are so excitingly different from the UK and Europe. Woohoo!

Many people say that Natasha looks like her mum...what do you think?

Doesn't this look like Australia? Wade made chicken schnitzels for dinner last night and Stacey thought hers looked like Australia. We had to add some mashed potato to include Tasmania!

Holly remembers taking a similar photo of Master J and Miss P when we left Brisbane last year. The only difference now is that Miss P is no longer a baby and Master J is now a school boy. Bitter sweet.

Natasha loves this picture that Maddy took. It is actually a chopped off bit of Bok Choy but Maddy has made it look like a pretty flower.

Very clever Maddy!

Stacey found this advertisement in the Sunday Mail for Bonds, famous for producing the "Chesty Bonds" singlets that Australian "blokes" wear on a hot and sunny Christmas day.
They have called it Jingle Bells the Aussie Chrissy Way...very clever.

(NB read it as two long columns.)

Heathrow Airport and it is as busy as ever. Master J organised which toys he wanted for the plane well in advance and placed them in his new Spiderman bag ready for the 13 hour flight to Hong Kong. What a clever boy!

Day 266

Natasha is happy! She loves cooking for her family and she especially loves the recipe she found for pumpkin muffins.

Stacey is sooooo excited! She just got her new Kindle in the mail today....YEAH!!!

It's supposed to be my Christmas/Birthday present from Wade but he said I should have it early.

See the orange light? I'm waiting for it to turn green and it will be ready to GO!

Holly misses her family in Australia but she will miss her family in England too. Our final goodbye is to Lisa (John's sister), Simon (her husband), Master W and Miss L. See you all when you visit us soon.
